Magswitch Magnetic Systems

Magswitch uses a switchable permanent magnet technology—rotating the base activates or deactivates the magnetic field with a twist. When active, the base bonds firmly to cast-iron machine surfaces. When switched off, the base lifts away cleanly, allowing instant repositioning without any fasteners or tools.

Magswitch bases are designed for cast-iron surfaces, which include table saw tops, router table inserts, jointer beds, and bandsaw tables. They do not adhere to aluminum or wood surfaces. Most traditional woodworking machinery with cast-iron tables is compatible.

Horizontal featherboards apply lateral pressure to keep stock against the fence during ripping. Vertical featherboards—like the Magswitch Vertical Featherboard Attachment—apply downward pressure to keep stock flat on the table. Using both together provides full three-dimensional workpiece control.
