Soak the blade or bit in a dedicated cleaner such as Boeshield Blade & Bit Cleaner for several minutes, then scrub with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing or reinstalling. Clean blades and bits cut cooler and produce cleaner surfaces.

Boeshield T-9 is widely used in woodshops for cast-iron protection. It penetrates rust-prone surfaces and leaves a dry waxy film that resists moisture without leaving an oily residue that could transfer to workpieces.

Clean saw blades when you notice burning on cuts, tear-out on clean wood, or increased feed resistance. Heavy users may clean blades every few projects; occasional users may go longer. Regular cleaning with a dedicated blade cleaner prevents buildup from hardening into a permanent residue.
